Ursula started working in Germany as accredited TV-Journalist; she wrote, directed and orchestrated the production of a 60 minute TV show about international advertising as well as a styling and design show in Switzerland. Several journalistic and artistic projects followed. Her specialty has always been, to visualize her artistic take on life through her work and projects. In 2004 Ursula started the "Phase 1" art projects using her photography and computer skills. Phase 1 was born under the name "calilu", which was inspired by her surroundings: CAlifornia, and her kids LUcia and LInus. Soon she started working with paint, canvas and diverse materials on various surfaces to create "Phase 2", her L.A. inspired contemporary abstract art projects. From that time on her initials, UDV, are found on all L.A. and Italian works, which she names as "Phase 3". Phase 3 are mostly nature inspired works, focusing on visual qualities like color, form and texture created in the south Italian family country home
Most paintings are 5 x 5ft (150 x 150cm) or 9 x 5ft (274 x150cm).
